Chris Bruce: Always a long distance rally enthusiast Chris drove his self-built Escort to Sydney on the '77 London Sydney Marathon, he rallied in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia in the late 1970s and did the Paris Dakar in '86 among lots of other events. He has surveyed our route to Dakar and also handles our results service and website updates.

Peter and Betty Banham: are famous for fixing cars at the roadside. Nothing ever seems so catastrophic that they are defeated. They competed in Philip Young's team on the Himalayan Rally in 1986, and were in at the start of historic rallying, Peter and Betty today drive a mobile workshop and have never left anyone behind.... even when pistons poke out the side and everything drips with oil, they can get your car to cross the finish-line!
They have already driven the route to Dakar so they know what you are up against.

Tony Fowkes and Andy Inskip team up as our other well known and formidable rescue team, usually seen hustling the ex-Camel Trophy Discovery. Tony has a remarkable rally history including a third-overall on the 1975 RAC Rally in a self built Ford Escort and second overall on the '77 London-Sydney Marathon as a works Mercedes driver, as well as good Safari placings and several Paris-Dakars on bikes. Andy Inskip is a resourceful expert mechanic who keeps the mobile workshop up to speed dealing with any problems that come their way.
