The Route Survey for the Great Arc is being carried out as you read this page. Every inch of the default route by road/track and field will be surveyed.
Your challenge is to find a straighter route - off-road where appropriate, cross the uncrossable, cut through the impeneterable and travel the untravelled.
Your mission, if you accept, is to be the straightest man or woman in India!

 Background to the Great Arc
Each millennium throws up a passion for doing something unique. One passion that prevailed throughout the 19th century was the accurate measurement of the dimensions of the earth with the aim of locating important geographical features in terms of latitude and longitude.
